Ferrari's goal looked a bit too open when Edward Mcdonald came free, but Bernardo Lima reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 7th minute Monty Rogers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Lima saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edward Mcdonald kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. S.C. Ferrari's Bernardo Lima played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Monty Rogers in the 16th minute of play. S.C. Bernardo Lima showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Monty Rogers, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. 42 minutes into the match, S.C. Ferrari's Tord Söderqvist sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marco Day narrowly saved just below the crossbar. S.C. Ferrari's Bernardo Lima played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Monty Rogers in the 44th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The wind increased when Tord Söderqvist made the kick off in the second half. S.C. Ferrari's Coronel Salgado quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Diego Bradley, made in the 51st minute of the game. S.C. Ferrari's Bernardo Lima played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cassius Byrne in the 52nd minute of play. In the 53rd minute USA were awarded a corner. Cassius Byrne went to the cornerflag to take it. Cassius Byrne made a great header on USA's corner, it was just that S.C. Ferrari's Bernardo Lima managed to reach the ball for a save. The supporters of USA booed when S.C. Ferrari was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lars Vallengren didn't get a good kick on the ball. S.C. Ferrari made a substitution. Dorian Severo replaced Patrick Angelsø. S.C. Ferrari's Gergely Bollobás was substituted for Tord Söderqvist. In the 59th match minute, S.C. Ferrari was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lars Vallengren to maneuver through the defense. USA's Cassius Byrne got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ferrari's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cassius Byrne ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of S.C. Ferrari's goalie and right to Jacob May. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. S.C. Ferrari's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Bernardo Lima made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Monty Rogers in the 68th minute of play. In the 69th minute Monty Rogers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Lima saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 70th minute, Acácio de Andrade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. USA's Sam Campbell was substituted for Cassius Byrne. A collision led to S.C. Ferrari getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Acácio de Andrade hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, USA's Bernardo Lima threw himself towards the right post 73 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Edward Mcdonald, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sam Campbell got free with Bernardo Lima in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 76 minutes into the match, S.C. Ferrari's goal looked a bit too open when Monty Rogers came free, but Bernardo Lima reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bernardo Lima showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sam Campbell, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Ferrari's Dorian Severo to fire away a dangerous shot which Marco Day despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. With an all-out effort, USA's Bernardo Lima threw himself towards the right post 89 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Khalid Parry, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The audience was convinced that Gergely Bollobás's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marco Day was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. In the 95th minute Gergely Bollobás shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Day saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The S.C. Ferrari fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. USA were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
