After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Raul Leal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. David Martínez kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raul Leal in the 11th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th minute, SC Freiburg 09's Raul Leal dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Nuno Bragança tried to sneak it across the goal line. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raul Leal in the 18th minute of play. 22 minutes into the game, Raul Leal recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. Raul Leal showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. 26 minutes into the game, Raul Leal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nuno Bragança in the 34th minute of play. The supporters of SC Freiburg 09 booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Raul Leal scored 5-0 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abílio Passos in the 54th minute of play. Camilo Gaos charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Camilo Gaos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Camilo Gaos got a free kick in the 55th minute. Raul Leal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raul Leal in the 58th minute of the match. Abílio Passos got in the 64th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Jonathan Ferrant handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. After 64 minutes, Abílio Passos made it 6-0 with a short kick to the right side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to SC Freiburg 09 getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Abílio Passos hit a great ball. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abílio Passos in the 69th minute of play. Nuno Bragança received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 93 minutes, Raul Leal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Freiburg 09's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raul Leal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abílio Passos in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. SC Freiburg 09 walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
