The El Retorno de Palermo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Rubinho de Amaral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mikus Linkūns, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 20 minutes into the game, Belaid Ziani was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. El Retorno de Palermo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Real Cruzeiro FC the free kick. Siro Serapio lost his temper 42 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 42 minutes into the game, one of El Retorno de Palermo:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

The wind increased when Vivaldo Carmona made the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Real Cruzeiro FC got a freekick which was hit by Giuseppe de Queirós. Aldo Fernanco succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-5 in the 53rd playminute. After taking down the ball on El Retorno de Palermo's corner Martin Videl fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Rubinho de Amaral quite easily take care of the ball. When the final whistle sounded El Retorno de Palermo left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Real Cruzeiro FC.
