A collision led to Hilsea getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Rod Craven hit a great ball. De Gulden Draak's Konstantin Havemann shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 3rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Ronan King but with some difficulty. Evert Heremans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronan King having to interfere. Hilsea's Ronan King proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Hilsea from getting a goal against them. Ronan King took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evert Heremans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ronan King stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Evert Heremans's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. 33 minutes into the match, Hilsea's Rachid Rowe sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ismail Köhler narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ronald Breitbüchers short, quick shot in the 34thth minute got Ronan King to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 40th play minute Ronald Breitbücher came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ronan King. 1-0. Ronan King made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Ronald Breitbücher sent off a good shot on target. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ronald Breitbücher to make the kick off. Rachid Rowe charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rachid Rowe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 53rd minute, Rachid Rowe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 54th minute Evert Heremans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronan King saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 56 minutes into the match, Hilsea's goal looked a bit too open when Ellis Thierse came free, but Ronan King reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 57th minute, James Foreman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 59 minutes, Ian Houghton mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hilsea and the De Gulden Draak players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ian Houghton kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. In the 68thth minute of the game Evert Heremans who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hilsea's Ronan King was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alain Bamford's late challenge caught a De Gulden Draak's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alain Bamford helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Hilsea getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Alain Bamford hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Hilsea's Robert Rowett got a free kick in the 84th minute. When the match had gone on for 87 minutes, Ronald Breitbücher put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Ronan King. 90 minutes into the game, De Gulden Draak's Evert Heremans nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ronan King made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. In the 93rd minute Evert Heremans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronan King saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rd match minute, Hilsea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rod Craven to maneuver through the defense. In the 94th minute, Evert Heremans made a precise shot to the right of Ronan King. Hilsea's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. De Gulden Draak fully deserved thier win.
