Rachid Rowe kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, Adrian Hedman put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Ronan King. Ronan King made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrian Hedman in the 14th minute of play. In the 17th minute Adrian Hedman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronan King saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Hilsea getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Wade Batty hit a great ball. 23 minutes into the game, Stig Klint cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Ronan King was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tobias Alströmmer's late challenge caught a Hilsea's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tobias Alströmmer helped the player get up and apologised. Tobias Alströmmer hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Berga BK's Petter Karlsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rachid Rowe in the 30th minute of play. Stig Klint fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronan King having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, Stig Klint had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ronan King. Hilsea's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Stig Klint was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. In the 42nd minute, Stig Klint left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Berga BK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. After the first half Berga BK were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Berga BK's Petter Karlsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerry Roebuck in the 53rd minute of play. Liam Read made a great header on Hilsea's corner, it was just that Berga BK's Petter Karlsson managed to reach the ball for a save. The supporters of Berga BK booed when Hilsea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robert Rowett didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adrian Hedman in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ronan King prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ronan King made an important save on a dangerous shot by Stig Klint in the 60th minute. Ronan King was out of position in the 63 minute of play, and Stig Klint capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Stig Klint really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. When Pelle Lindholm fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Berga BK's protests and gave Pelle Lindholm a yellow card for diving instead. In the 65th match minute, Berga BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pelle Lindholm to maneuver through the defense. After 67 played minutes Hilsea got a freekick which was hit by Gerry Roebuck. If Adrian Hedman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Berga BK booed when Hilsea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Larry Butt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stig Klint recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Hilsea's Ronan King got control of the ball when Stig Klint tried to sneak it across the goal line. Adrian Hedman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Ronan King tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ronan King made an important save on a dangerous shot by Stig Klint in the 81st minute. When Larry Butt fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hilsea's protests and gave Larry Butt a yellow card for diving instead. In the 88th minute, Larry Butt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stig Klint received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ronan King came out and tried to block the shot, but Stig Klint slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 90th minute. Ronan King showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adrian Hedman, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Adrian Hedman took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ronan King. Ronan King dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7.
