Ronan King was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Michal Puzio fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bialski Bastion Legii's protests and gave Michal Puzio a yellow card for diving instead. In the 9th match minute, Bialski Bastion Legii was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michal Puzio to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Zbigniew Domalik's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ronan King was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. A collision led to Hilsea getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Robert Rowett hit a great ball. 18 minutes into the game, Zbigniew Domalik cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Ronan King was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Boguslaw Bartochowski hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. 25 minutes into the match, Hilsea's goal looked a bit too open when Zbigniew Domalik came free, but Ronan King reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zbigniew Domalik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronan King having to interfere. Ronan King made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zbigniew Domalik in the 36th minute of play. When Bialski Bastion Legii's Zbigniew Domalik in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hilsea's goalie prevented a goal. Ronan King didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Michal Puzio went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Michal Puzio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronan King having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rachid Rowe stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Bialski Bastion Legii booed when Hilsea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alain Bamford didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 54th minute, Zbigniew Domalik got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bialski Bastion Legii's Boguslaw Bartochowski got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Hilsea getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Rod Craven hit a great ball. Ronan King acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 57th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Florian Merski. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Zbigniew Domalik managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bialski Bastion Legii's supporters rose to their feet, but Zbigniew Domalik was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ronan King breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 59th minute, Tolek Zabrzeski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ronan King was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. Ronan King didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 63rd minute, which inside left pole to 0-7. If Marian Radziszewski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ronan King showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zbigniew Domalik in the 68th minute of the match. Bialski Bastion Legii were awarded a corner in the 69th minute after Hilsea's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Florian Merski took the corner. Bogdan Odachowski made a great header on Bialski Bastion Legii's corner, it was just that Hilsea's Ronan King managed to reach the ball for a save. An unexpected shot in the 72nd minute by Boguslaw Bartochowski got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Zbigniew Domalik blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ronan King having to make a save. With a little luck, Hilsea's Ronan King got control of the ball when Zbigniew Domalik tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ronan King was a little too slow when Zbigniew Domalik got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 75th minute. The score was now 0-8. Zbigniew Domalik came free with the goalkeeper in the 79th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ronan King could save by the left post. After 81 minutes Hilsea's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Florian Merski who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Bialski Bastion Legii's Florian Merski to fire away a dangerous shot which Ronan King despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Rachid Rowe hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Michal Puzio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Ronan King tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 89 minutes of play, Bialski Bastion Legii's Jerzy Gonsiewski made it 0-9 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ronan King was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 93rd minute, Jerzy Gonsiewski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Hilsea's Ronan King got control of the ball when Zbigniew Domalik tried to sneak it across the goal line. Zbigniew Domalik who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 97thth minute tested the skills of Ronan King when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 98th minute, Wade Batty hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
