In the 8th minute Albert Einstein shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Siim Kikas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 10 minutes into the game, Vincent Albbrecht was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Espen Steelers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave De Gulden Draak the free kick. Vincent Albbrecht hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. In the 12th minute Ellis Thierse shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nikola Portner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 13 minutes of play, Espen Steelers's Kurt Wüthrich made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Siim Kikas was left in no man's land by his defense there! Siim Kikas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dominik Sauerberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A nice corner shot did that Albert Einstein got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Siim Kikas quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 29 minutes into the match, Evert Heremans had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nikola Portner. Espen Steelers's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Evert Heremans was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After 31 played minutes Espen Steelers got a freekick which was hit by Dominik Sauerberg. Kurt Wüthrich scored 1-2 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Siim Kikas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The De Gulden Draak players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Espen Steelers were winning 1-2.

Espen Steelers made a substitution. Erasmo Emesto replaced Vincent Albbrecht. 51 minutes into the game, Ronald Breitbücher was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. De Gulden Draak's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Espen Steelers the free kick. In the 51st minute, Ronald Breitbücher hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Siim Kikas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kurt Wüthrich in the 53rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kurt Wüthrich got free with Siim Kikas in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Siim Kikas made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Kurt Wüthrich sent off a good shot on target. Siim Kikas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kurt Wüthrich, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Espen Steelers's Henri Schwersenz was substituted for Mauro Aebi. Siim Kikas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kurt Wüthrich in the 71st minute. The supporters of De Gulden Draak booed when Espen Steelers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erasmo Emesto didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 94th minute Evert Heremans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nikola Portner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match was over Espen Steelers could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than De Gulden Draak throughout the match.
