During this time Espen Steelers's players had a chance to rest. 12 minutes into the game, PAIDAGOGOS's Benedykt Klimkiewicz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nikola Portner made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donald Ommen in the 18th minute of play forced Espen Steelers's goalkeeper Nikola Portner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kurt Wüthrich took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Chip Chiper. Chip Chiper dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Espen Steelers's goalkeeper Nikola Portner, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 27 minutes into the match, Espen Steelers's goalkeeper Nikola Portner had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Donald Ommen. Kurt Wüthrich took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Chip Chiper. Chip Chiper dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Jem Burger got his second yellow card in the match during the 38th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. 40 minutes into the match, PAIDAGOGOS's goal looked a bit too open when Ştefan Lupea came free, but Chip Chiper reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 40 minutes of play, Espen Steelers's Ştefan Lupea made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Chip Chiper was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Salomone Weber in the 44th minute of play forced PAIDAGOGOS's goalkeeper Chip Chiper to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 45 minutes into the match, PAIDAGOGOS's goal looked a bit too open when Kurt Wüthrich came free, but Chip Chiper reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Espen Steelers were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Benedykt Klimkiewicz made a kick off. Chip Chiper took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ştefan Lupea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 62nd minute, Krzysztof Scigan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Espen Steelers's Dominik Sauerberg was substituted for Salomone Weber. Benedykt Klimkiewicz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nikola Portner having to interfere. Espen Steelers made a substitution. Henri Schwersenz replaced Mauro Aebi. In the 73rd minute Ştefan Lupea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chip Chiper saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
