The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 19th minute Ergincan Genişyürek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ergincan Genişyürek in the 26th minute of play. KS Piast Cieszyn's Boguslaw Kaczanek proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save KS Piast Cieszyn from getting a goal against them. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mariano Lacasa to strike the kick off in the second half. Boguslaw Kaczanek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 52nd minute of play. With a little luck, Chile's Thiago Pliego got control of the ball when Bartlomiej Adamus tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 54th match minute, Chile was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xavier Figueroa to maneuver through the defense. Vittorio Sgarbi struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. In the 57th minute, Luís Pitta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 67 minutes into the game, Krestoffer Leetmaa recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Thiago Pliego. Krestoffer Leetmaa showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. In the 70th minute, Luís Pitta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Best Speed who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 84thth minute tested the skills of Thiago Pliego when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 86th minute, KS Piast Cieszyn's Andrzej Gierasik ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Thiago Pliego. Thiago Pliego yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. In the 90th minute, Andrzej Gierasik made a precise shot to the right of Thiago Pliego. Chile's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. In the 94th minute, Mariano Lacasa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chile fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. KS Piast Cieszyn walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
