Joaquim de Barros came free with the goalkeeper in the 18th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Clemente Benvido could save by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquim de Barros in the 19th minute of play forced Canalla Fuego's goalkeeper Clemente Benvido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 20 minutes Canalla Fuego's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Álvaro Rezende who took care of the corner kick. The corner led VB-Team's Álvaro Rezende to fire away a dangerous shot which Clemente Benvido despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 22nd minute, César Sampaio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ricky Kalischer took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 22nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Armindo Salgado. VB-Team's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Armindo Salgado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aristides Villanueva in the 23rd minute of the match. With a little luck, Canalla Fuego's Clemente Benvido got control of the ball when Joaquim de Barros tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Canalla Fuego's zone, Joaquim de Barros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Clemente Benvido came out of the goal and Joaquim de Barros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Canalla Fuego were awarded a corner in the 36th minute after VB-Team's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ricky Kalischer took the corner. Ricky Kalischer made a great header on Canalla Fuego's corner, it was just that VB-Team's Armindo Salgado managed to reach the ball for a save. The supporters of Canalla Fuego booed when VB-Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enzo Pellecchia didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 91 minutes of play, VB-Team's Traian Hăvârneanu made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Clemente Benvido was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luís Caeiro in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Clemente Benvido prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Diguinho Paraíba kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match.
