La Acade's Niceto Peli quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Niceto Peli made in the 28th minute of the game a quick throw-in and David Abaurre immediately put the ball in play. 29 minutes into the match, La Acade's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Agostini came free, but Blas Aritza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd minute Wagner Kill shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Blas Aritza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Gunnar Deisler in the 33rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by La Acade's Stelian Avram. In the 34th minute, Gaston Bingen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wagner Kill in the 39th minute of play forced La Acade's goalkeeper Blas Aritza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wagner Kill stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Felipe Saturnin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Grzegorz Szamotulski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Saturnin in the 88th minute of play. La Acade's Stelian Avram managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Edelmiro Lorenz in the 90 minute of the game. In the 91st minute, Felipe Saturnin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Grzegorz Szamotulski was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. Grzegorz Szamotulski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felipe Saturnin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edelmiro Lorenz charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edelmiro Lorenz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
