In the 15th match minute, Gabbro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edvard Slæggerup to maneuver through the defense. If Ruud van Nistelrooij had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Gabbro FC's zone, Federico Tedeschi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alessandro Mancinelli came out of the goal and Federico Tedeschi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Calenzano's Donato Balestra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antonio Ciraci in the 22nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Calenzano's zone, Edvard Slæggerup stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Donato Balestra came out of the goal and Edvard Slæggerup tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 27th match minute, Gabbro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edvard Slæggerup to maneuver through the defense. Alessandro Mancinelli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruud van Nistelrooij in the 28th minute of play. A hard shot 31 in the game by Edvard Slæggerup from a close distance when the talented Donato Balestra managed to make a qualified save. Calenzano's players were relieved. Gabbro FC's Alessandro Mancinelli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruud van Nistelrooij in the 32nd minute of play. When the match clock showed 36 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Ruud van Nistelrooij sped through Gabbro FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alessandro Mancinelli. With a little luck, Calenzano's Donato Balestra got control of the ball when Nicholas Langsford tried to sneak it across the goal line. 42 minutes into the match, Gabbro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Federico Tedeschi came free, but Alessandro Mancinelli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alessandro Mancinelli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruud van Nistelrooij, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Yaniusky Pardo's late challenge caught a Gabbro FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Yaniusky Pardo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 54th minute, Yaniusky Pardo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 63rd minute of the match, Ennio Daniele got a very nice opportunity to score, but Alessandro Mancinelli was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Calenzano's Damaso Palben was substituted for Ennio Daniele. Calenzano made a substitution. Comunardo Chizzo replaced Arturo Di Matteo. Calenzano made a substitution. In the 74thth minute of the game Edvard Slæggerup who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Calenzano's Donato Balestra was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alessandro Mancinelli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Comunardo Chizzo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Through an outstanding action, after 79 minutes, Alessandro Mancinelli successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Yaniusky Pardo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Alessandro Mancinelli firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 82nd match minute, Gabbro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lasse Eskeland to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antonio Longo got free with Alessandro Mancinelli in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alessandro Mancinelli was a little too slow when Antonio Longo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 83rd minute. The score was now 0-2. Gabbro FC were awarded a corner in the 93th minute after Calenzano's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Nicholas Langsford took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Nicholas Langsford got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Donato Balestra quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 97th minute Calenzano were awarded a corner. Yaniusky Pardo went to the cornerflag to take it.
