Santoryu FC's Ercole Carnevale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Egil Sjögren in the 32nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Egil Sjögren's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ercole Carnevale was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. 41 minutes had been played when some careless play by Santoryu FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Paolo Rossi was slow to take the kick. During this time Montesacro FC's players had a chance to rest. Montesacro FC's Anthony Del Gatto was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ercole Carnevale in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When the match clock showed 41 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Loco Palermo sped through Santoryu FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ercole Carnevale.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Loco Palermo made a kick off. When the match had gone on for 51 minutes, Egil Sjögren took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Ercole Carnevale to make any attempt to save it. Santoryu FC's Ercole Carnevale proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Santoryu FC from getting a goal against them. Montesacro FC were awarded a corner in the 55th minute after Santoryu FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Paolo Rossi took the corner. Giacomo Casanova showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cesare Romano in the 57th minute of the match. In the 72nd minute Loco Palermo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ercole Carnevale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Santoryu FC's Ercole Carnevale got control of the ball when Egil Sjögren tried to sneak it across the goal line. Paolo Rossi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th minute Dennis Nero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giacomo Casanova saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Santoryu FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Montesacro FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Montesacro FC.
