Giacomo Casanova made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniele Massaro in the 2nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Loco Palermo in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eugenio Colecchia saved Seggiano from getting behind. Seggiano's Eugenio Colecchia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Loco Palermo in the 7th minute of play. After some careless play in the Montesacro FC defense, Daniele Massaro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Giacomo Casanova. The Montesacro FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Giacomo Casanova should have stopped the shot. Montesacro FC's Giacomo Casanova played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniele Massaro in the 11th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Seggiano's goalkeeper Eugenio Colecchia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Egil Sjögren. Eugenio Colecchia made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Egil Sjögren sent off a good shot on target. Egil Sjögren in the 15thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Eugenio Colecchia, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 17th minute Egil Sjögren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugenio Colecchia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, Egil Sjögren dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Eugenio Colecchia, 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Egil Sjögren got free with Eugenio Colecchia in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 24 minutes into the match, Montesacro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cesare Del Duca came free, but Giacomo Casanova reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Cesare Del Duca's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Giacomo Casanova was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. In the 29th minute of the match, Loco Palermo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Eugenio Colecchia saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Eugenio Colecchia made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Egil Sjögren sent off a good shot on target. Egil Sjögren scored 2-1 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eugenio Colecchia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Giovanni Falcone struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Giacomo Casanova didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Seggiano. Seggiano were furious when Cristoforo Leoni was red carded, 43 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Seggiano's Bedri Baykutay was substituted for Achille Pasinati. 42 minutes into the game, one of Seggiano:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After 46 minutes Seggiano's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Paolo Rossi who took care of the corner kick.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniele Massaro to strike the kick off in the second half. Ciccio Bussi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 50th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniele Massaro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Seggiano's Damiano Benvenuto was substituted for Cesare Del Duca. Seggiano's Carmine Righi was substituted for Daniele Massaro. In the 60th minute, Egil Sjögren left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Montesacro FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. In the 64th minute, Egil Sjögren ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eugenio Colecchia was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. 68 minutes into the match, Montesacro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Giovanni Falcone came free, but Giacomo Casanova reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68th match minute, Seggiano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ben Stiller to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 69 minutes, Loco Palermo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Montesacro FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Loco Palermo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 85 minutes, Giacomo Casanova successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 88th minute Giovanni Falcone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giacomo Casanova saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Guntis Pakuls fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Seggiano's protests and gave Guntis Pakuls a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Montesacro FC booed when Seggiano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guntis Pakuls didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eugenio Colecchia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Loco Palermo in the 91st minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Seggiano players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Montesacro FC.
