When the match clock showed 3 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Federico Tedeschi sped through Seggiano's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Eugenio Colecchia. Alfred Olsson took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eugenio Colecchia. Eugenio Colecchia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Eugenio Colecchia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfred Olsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Calenzano's Donato Balestra proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Calenzano from getting a goal against them. With his leg Donato Balestra managed to avoid a goal in the 16thth minute, when Seggiano's Giovanni Falcone fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 17 minutes Calenzano's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cesare Del Duca who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Elia Cellucci managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Calenzano's Donato Balestra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniele Massaro in the 19th minute of play. A collision led to Seggiano getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Cesare Del Duca hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alfred Olsson in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eugenio Colecchia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alfred Olsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 28 minutes into the match, Seggiano's goal looked a bit too open when Federico Tedeschi came free, but Eugenio Colecchia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th minute, Alfred Olsson made a precise shot to the right of Eugenio Colecchia. Seggiano's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Giovanni Falcone's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 33rdth minute, Donato Balestra skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Guntis Pakuls had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Achille Pasinati in the 41st minute of play forced Calenzano's goalkeeper Donato Balestra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th minute Alfred Olsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugenio Colecchia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Calenzano getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Enzo Martelli hit a great ball. Donato Balestra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniele Massaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alfred Olsson was the one to do the kick off. Donato Balestra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniele Massaro in the 55th minute of play. Donato Balestra didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Achille Pasinati went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Calenzano's Yaniusky Pardo was substituted for Alessio Santini. Calenzano made a substitution. Arturo Di Matteo replaced Alfred Olsson. Calenzano's Comunardo Chizzo was substituted for Ennio Daniele. Donato Balestra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Achille Pasinati, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. The Calenzano players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
