Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Belmiro Peñaranda in the 5th minute of the match. Pedro Manzanares made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Belmiro Peñaranda sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 7 minutes, Kevin Mastache managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Colombia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kevin Mastache was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Colombia booed when CRUZ DEL SUR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Podador Arraño didn't get a good kick on the ball. 10 minutes into the match, CRUZ DEL SUR's goal looked a bit too open when Kevin Mastache came free, but Mónico Queirolo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abram Sarmiento scored 0-1 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mónico Queirolo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If José Ignacio Berguecio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mónico Queirolo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kevin Mastache, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mónico Queirolo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kevin Mastache went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Axel Montenegro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mónico Queirolo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. 30 minutes into the game, Pascual Carballar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Colombia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CRUZ DEL SUR the free kick. Pascual Carballar hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, CRUZ DEL SUR's Marc Pedraza got a free kick in the 32nd minute. In the 37th minute, Kevin Mastache got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Axel Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 43 minutes into the match, CRUZ DEL SUR's goal looked a bit too open when Kevin Mastache came free, but Mónico Queirolo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Ignacio Berguecio in the 46th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Abram Sarmiento made a kick off. Kevin Mastache was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 53rd minute. Colombia's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. CRUZ DEL SUR's Mónico Queirolo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 53rd minute of play. Kevin Mastache scored 0-3 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mónico Queirolo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of CRUZ DEL SUR booed when Colombia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Axel Montenegro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marc Pedraza, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. CRUZ DEL SUR's Mónico Queirolo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save CRUZ DEL SUR from getting a goal against them. Colombia's Abram Secada was substituted for Axel Montenegro. 77 minutes into the game, José Ignacio Berguecio threw the ball into play from the sideline. Colombia's Pascual Carballar quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Belmiro Peñaranda in the 81st minute of play. Kevin Mastache sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 87th minute, Ignacio Mastache hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Abdul Esquerra kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Ignacio Mastache took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mónico Queirolo. Mónico Queirolo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Ignacio Mastache struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Mónico Queirolo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Colombia. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Colombia walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
