Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) In the 3rd minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Cordeal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 3 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Martin Cordeal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 11 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Constantino Ermano was slow to take the kick. During this time C. S. D. Pueyrredón's players had a chance to rest. The corner led C. S. D. Pueyrredón's Romulo Matia to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio Vera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The supporters of C. S. D. Pueyrredón booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Sebastián Puig didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. 20 minutes into the match, C. S. D. Pueyrredón's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Martin Cordeal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th minute, Cristian Sancho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romulo Matia in the 30th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in C. S. D. Pueyrredón's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martin Cordeal came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Teobaldo Rosario to make the kick off. In the 54th match minute, C. S. D. Pueyrredón was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Efrain Clodio to maneuver through the defense. Teobaldo Rosario scored 1-2 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Juan Sebastián Puig hit a great ball. The corner led C. S. D. Pueyrredón's Hector Saturnin to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio Vera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teobaldo Rosario in the 72nd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. C. S. D. Pueyrredón made a substitution. Halil İbrahim Yeltekin replaced Teobaldo Rosario. The supporters of Ecuador booed when C. S. D. Pueyrredón was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgardo Montxo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Camilo Gisbert hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Godofredo Reno stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Godofredo Reno tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The C. S. D. Pueyrredón supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Ecuador's performance. The match ended with a win for Ecuador.
