In the 8th minute, Stig Rødal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Gustaw Fafinski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 14th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. In the 19th match minute, KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claude Makélélé to maneuver through the defense. In the 21st minute, Gianluca Scamacca made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. After 24 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Salvador Gisbert. Gianluca Scamacca in the 26thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Slawomir Wojciechowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gianluca Scamacca, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Birrell Watman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Birrell Watman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. 44 minutes into the match, Gianluca Scamacca had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gianluca Scamacca was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Gustaw Fafinski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustaw Fafinski having to interfere. The supporters of Venezuela booed when KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elías Olsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. 72 minutes into the match, KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A's goalkeeper Gustaw Fafinski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. Slawomir Wojciechowski hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. The supporters of KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gianluca Scamacca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Gustaw Fafinski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Slawomir Wojciechowski in the 94th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee ended the match the KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
