Niclas Rydberg in the 10thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Dante Lacasa, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 12th minute, Joel Gaona ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jan-Ove Springfält was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Joel Gaona's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jan-Ove Springfält read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Niclas Rydberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 25th minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan-Ove Springfält saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dante Lacasa didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 27th minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. 33 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Lars Rosén came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mexico's Facundo Cadaval suffered a concussion in the 37th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lars Rosén during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Mexico's Xavier Seco was substituted for Facundo Cadaval. In the 38th minute, Lars Rosén hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Luca Rouco fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mexico's protests and gave Luca Rouco a yellow card for diving instead. Jan-Ove Springfält took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jan-Ove Springfält made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 47th minute of play. Jonstorp FK made a substitution. Ruben Ler replaced Niclas Rydberg. In the 50th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. Jonstorp FK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Joel Gaona almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Jonstorp FK's Jan-Ove Springfält did a great save. When Lars Rosén was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 50 minutes had been played. A collision led to Jonstorp FK getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Lars Rosén hit a great ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

In the 57th minute, Lautaro Mancebo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jan-Ove Springfält stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alberto Tafalla's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Jan-Ove Springfält made a huge save. With a little luck, Jonstorp FK's Jan-Ove Springfält got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. 64 minutes into the match, Jonstorp FK's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Jan-Ove Springfält reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. It was a well-played corner which Luca Zorita managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 71st minute, Luca Zorita left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Alberto Tafalla recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jonstorp FK's Jan-Ove Springfält proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Jonstorp FK from getting a goal against them. Åke Bodin hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Joel Gaona managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Joel Gaona was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jan-Ove Springfält breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 84 minutes into the game, one of Jonstorp FK:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Luca Zorita hit a great ball. In the 95th minute, Alberto Tafalla left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 98th minute of play forced Jonstorp FK's goalkeeper Jan-Ove Springfält to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 101st minute. The corner ended in Lautaro Mancebo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Jonstorp FK's Jan-Ove Springfält did a great save. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Mexico had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
