Moises Fernandino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Berenguer Tolosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The corner led El Salvador's Jorge Magrina to fire away a dangerous shot which Berenguer Tolosa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Carlos Pujol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of FCSB CUENCA booed when El Salvador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moises Fernandino didn't get a good kick on the ball. El Salvador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FCSB CUENCA the free kick. Mateo Leguizamo kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Carlos Pujol's late challenge caught a El Salvador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carlos Pujol helped the player get up and apologised. In the 61st minute, Carlos Pujol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After taking down the ball on FCSB CUENCA's corner Samuel Dracena fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ricardo Zorita quite easily take care of the ball. 73 minutes into the match, El Salvador's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Pujol came free, but Ricardo Zorita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcio Carreira scored 0-4 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ricardo Zorita, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. FCSB CUENCA's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
