The Uruguay fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. A collision led to Uruguay getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Tarcísio Coelho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. Maximiliano Escribano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Geoffroy Boussemart fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Gayoso having to interfere. In the 47th match minute, OMNI Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nivaldo Nunes to maneuver through the defense. When Uruguay's Francisco Seco in the 49th minute got a chance for a shot 49th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye OMNI Club's goalie prevented a goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Geoffroy Boussemart took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joaquin Gayoso. Joaquin Gayoso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-5. When César Prats fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored OMNI Club's protests and gave César Prats a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, OMNI Club's César Prats got a free kick in the 61st minute. 64 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Geoffroy Boussemart came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 67 played minutes OMNI Club got a freekick which was hit by Nivaldo Nunes. A collision led to OMNI Club getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Pedro Luz hit a great ball. OMNI Club's defense didn't have a chance, in the 79th minute, when Francisco Seco scored to the left of an out of position Tarcísio Coelho, making the score, 2-6. In the 89th minute, Alberto Gisbert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nivaldo Nunes hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Tarcísio Coelho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaime Cazalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. In the 97th minute, Geoffroy Boussemart got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Uruguay had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
