Loco Higuita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 3rd minute of play. 4 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Loco Higuita was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valeriu Panaitescu in the 9th minute of play. After 9 played minutes Valeriu Panaitescu rounded Ecuador's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. KYRTAKIA ARE BACK!!!!!!!!'s Valeriu Panaitescu got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Loco Higuita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Antonio Arias lost his temper 45 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 45th minute, one of Ecuador:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ecuador.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cristian Sancho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54thth minute of the game Sakis Kastanos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. KYRTAKIA ARE BACK!!!!!!!!'s Loco Higuita proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save KYRTAKIA ARE BACK!!!!!!!! from getting a goal against them. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valeriu Panaitescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. 68 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Luis Andino sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Loco Higuita narrowly saved just below the crossbar. But to his dismay, Babbis Tapinos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. KYRTAKIA ARE BACK!!!!!!!! were awarded a corner in the 77th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. George Vasiloiu took the corner. In the 80thth minute of the game Valeriu Panaitescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Loco Higuita made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 81st minute. When the match clock showed 83 minutes, the score became 6-1 when Akis Papagiannopoulos sped through Ecuador's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Julio Vera. After 88 minutes KYRTAKIA ARE BACK!!!!!!!!'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Ecuador's Felix Montes was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Loco Higuita in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Michael Ahlquist during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 90th minute, Michael Ahlquist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Many of Ecuador's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Ecuador may have spent more time on the ball, but KYRTAKIA ARE BACK!!!!!!!! were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
