After some fancy dribbling in the 2nd minute, Rik Caldueño managed to get in a good position for a shot. NCA Defensor Mercenario's supporters rose to their feet, but Rik Caldueño was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquin Gayoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Seco in the 4th minute of play forced NCA Defensor Mercenario's goalkeeper Xavies Monterrey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joaquin Gayoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Todor Hostar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Todor Hostar in the 11th minute of play. In the 22ndth minute of the game Francisco Seco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but NCA Defensor Mercenario's Xavies Monterrey was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Kevin Carballal got a free kick in the 23rd minute. 24 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Guido Dameda. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Beldad in the 26th minute of play forced NCA Defensor Mercenario's goalkeeper Xavies Monterrey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Francisco Seco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Dacio Basabe fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored NCA Defensor Mercenario's protests and gave Dacio Basabe a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to NCA Defensor Mercenario getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Todor Hostar hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Francisco Seco in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Xavies Monterrey prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 35 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Guido Dameda. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Francisco Seco was the one to do the kick off. Francisco Seco took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Xavies Monterrey. Xavies Monterrey dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 66th minute Todor Hostar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. NCA Defensor Mercenario's Baumar Almonte was substituted for Guido Dameda. NCA Defensor Mercenario were awarded a corner in the 68th minute after Uruguay's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alberto Larrimbe took the corner. Baumar Almonte was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Xavies Monterrey made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Maximiliano Escribano sent off a good shot on target. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dalimil Mrkva in the 75th minute of the match. 79 minutes into the match, NCA Defensor Mercenario's goalkeeper Xavies Monterrey had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francisco Seco. NCA Defensor Mercenario's Dacio Basabe got his second yellow card of the match in the 85th minute. The referee ordered Dacio Basabe off the ground. After a rather tough play, NCA Defensor Mercenario's Dacio Basabe got a free kick in the 86th minute. A collision led to NCA Defensor Mercenario getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Alberto Larrimbe hit a great ball. In the 95th minute of the game Daniel Marjanovic made a throw-in which Orzaize Brizuela played forward. The NCA Defensor Mercenario fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Uruguay were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
