Chile's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. 67 minutes had been played when some careless play by Chile's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gabriel Martinelli was slow to take the kick. During this time Bludovice's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Jaroslav Řípa almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Chile's Thiago Pliego did a great save. Bludovice's Robert Awizo got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robert Awizo, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute.
