Cassius Byrne could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Rene Vereijt made a huge save. USA's Cassius Byrne was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Rene Vereijt in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The audience cheered when Cassius Byrne's long shot passed Rene Vereijt's right side. It was 1-1, 20 minutes into the match. Cassius Byrne could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Rene Vereijt made a huge save. In the 27th minute William Westelinx shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Day saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rene Vereijt made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edward Mcdonald in the 38th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for William Westelinx to strike the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, FC Ouagadougou National's goal looked a bit too open when Cassius Byrne came free, but Rene Vereijt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rene Vereijt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cassius Byrne, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Marco Day made an important save on a dangerous shot by William Westelinx in the 65th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sergen Şahbender during the 67th minute. USA's Marco Day proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save USA from getting a goal against them. Rene Vereijt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sam Campbell in the 93rd minute of the match. After 95 played minutes FC Ouagadougou National got a freekick which was hit by Riemer Ax. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. USA fully deserved thier win.
