Täpäl Asadov hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Costa in the 10th minute of play forced Valhalla Time's goalkeeper Waldir Gaúcho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 10 minutes of play, Venezuela's Patricio Costa made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Waldir Gaúcho was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amaury Hulsen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jonathan Venegas hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aca Larroque in the 25th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amaury Hulsen in the 29th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomas Illescas who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 33rdth minute tested the skills of Waldir Gaúcho when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tomas Illescas scored 2-1 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Waldir Gaúcho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Waldir Gaúcho made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. After 47 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Costa. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Waldir Gaúcho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 52nd minute of play. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Waldir Gaúcho having to interfere. Täpäl Asadov kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 81 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Amaury Hulsen. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tomas Illescas during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Tomas Illescas hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice moves Aca Larroque could shoot a difficult shot in the 84th minute, which Jonathan Ferrant however easily saved by the left post. Dalmacio Kiliz's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dalmacio Kiliz helped the player get up and apologised. Dalmacio Kiliz hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. 92 minutes into the match, Valhalla Time's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Waldir Gaúcho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jimeno Santo's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jimeno Santo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 95th minute, Jimeno Santo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
