After a rather tough play, Miedzyrzec Utd's Kajetan Chwalkiewicz got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Miedzyrzec Utd getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Vicente Rocha hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Michal Kiszkiel got free with Julio Vera in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michal Kiszkiel in the 75th minute of play. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vassilis Katsoulakis in the 79th minute of play. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Michal Kiszkiel's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. Thanks to some nice moves Felix Montenegro could shoot a difficult shot in the 83rd minute, which Rafal Dziura however easily saved by the left post. 84 minutes had been played when some careless play by Miedzyrzec Utd's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Luis Andino heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michal Kiszkiel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 93rd minute, Miedzyrzec Utd's Ryszard Glaza fired away a free kick that almost went in the goal. Julio Vera was prepared for the shot, but didn't have to make a play as the shot flew over the goal. Jedrzej Gajewski charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jedrzej Gajewski the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Miedzyrzec Utd were victorious despite being under pressure from Ecuador for much of the match.
