Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Colombia's Abram Sarmiento started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 5 played minutes Velez Sarsfield got a freekick which was hit by Gaston Ávila. The audience was convinced that Nereo Artaldo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Manzanares was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Erwin Huygens made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pascual Carballar in the 20th minute. Santino Seco kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. In the 25th minute Kevin Mastache shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erwin Huygens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 32 played minutes Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Indiano. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filomeno Montrell in the 33rd minute of play. Javier Pinola hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Pedro Manzanares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nereo Artaldo's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. A collision led to Colombia getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Antonio Indiano hit a great ball. In the game's 41st minute Velez Sarsfield's Filomeno Montrell took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of Pedro Manzanares and thus the score was 0-1. In the 44th minute Filomeno Montrell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gaston Ávila kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. After having played for 46 minutes, Axel Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Colombia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Axel Montenegro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nereo Artaldo to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Velez Sarsfield's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Montenegro came free, but Erwin Huygens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 53 minutes into the game, Colombia's Abram Sarmiento nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Erwin Huygens made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After 55 played minutes Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Orlando Tafalla. Ago Tramp who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 58thth minute tested the skills of Pedro Manzanares when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Erwin Huygens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kevin Mastache, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abram Sarmiento in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Erwin Huygens prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Erwin Huygens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Montenegro in the 67th minute of the match. 67 minutes into the match, Velez Sarsfield's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Montenegro came free, but Erwin Huygens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ago Tramp got free with Pedro Manzanares in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Colombia's Pedro Manzanares got control of the ball when Ago Tramp tried to sneak it across the goal line. Erwin Huygens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Axel Montenegro took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Erwin Huygens. Erwin Huygens dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Velez Sarsfield's Ignacio Berenguer was substituted for Ago Tramp. Erwin Huygens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ignacio Mastache in the 82nd minute of play. Pedro Manzanares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Augusto Cordario went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Luis Cazalla made in the 88th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Abram Secada however managed to control. After 89 played minutes Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Luis Cazalla. Thanks to some nice moves Augusto Cordario could shoot a difficult shot in the 90th minute, which Pedro Manzanares however easily saved by the left post. The throw-in from Luis Cazalla in the 92nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Velez Sarsfield's Ando Averin. The Velez Sarsfield players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Colombia from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
