Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dário Pinho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felix Montenegro in the 7th minute. 10 minutes into the match, SHIZUOKA FC's goalkeeper Dário Pinho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Agustín Saelices. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 11th minute. Antonello Roccuzzo hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dário Pinho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. Antonello Roccuzzo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, SHIZUOKA FC's Dário Pinho got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Felix Montenegro came free with the goalkeeper in the 24th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Dário Pinho could save by the left post. 25 minutes into the game, Rogelio Policarpio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Antonello Roccuzzo kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. In the 32nd match minute, SHIZUOKA FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Du Wei Hui to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a free kick in the 33rd minute. A collision led to SHIZUOKA FC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Sekou Mára hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Camilo Gisbert got a free kick in the 35th minute. Agustín Saelices sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Antonello Roccuzzo to make the kick off. Dário Pinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. The corner led Ecuador's Luis Andino to fire away a dangerous shot which Dário Pinho despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After having played for 58 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dário Pinho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Romulo Ledesma stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Romulo Ledesma tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Primitivo Andino hit a great ball. In the 73rd minute, Rogelio Policarpio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SHIZUOKA FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. 79 minutes into the game, Rogelio Policarpio recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Julio Vera. Rogelio Policarpio showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. When Sekou Mára came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the SHIZUOKA FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sekou Mára couldn't finish the play. When the final whistle went the supporters of SHIZUOKA FC were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Ecuador side.
