After 7 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Luca Zorita. Jerry Knowles struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Dante Lacasa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SaarijärvenSomaliSpartans. In the 12th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Taavetti Mattila saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 14 minutes into the match, SaarijärvenSomaliSpartans's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Taavetti Mattila reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee showed Felix Luque the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joel Gaona to strike the kick off in the second half. Taavetti Mattila came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Alberto Tafalla. But to his dismay, Alberto Tafalla quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. When SaarijärvenSomaliSpartans's Jerry Knowles in 56 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Dante Lacasa guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jiang Zhen Sen in the 58th minute of the match. Dante Lacasa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Traian Iorda went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Traian Iorda's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dante Lacasa was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ali Nieminen in the 66th minute of play. 69 minutes into the match, SaarijärvenSomaliSpartans's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Taavetti Mattila reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 70 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Oskari Etula came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Traian Iorda in the 82nd minute of the match. Traian Iorda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Lacasa having to interfere. The supporters of Mexico booed when SaarijärvenSomaliSpartans was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zhang Chong Song didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Mexico's Joel Gaona tried to score from far away in the 96th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The SaarijärvenSomaliSpartans supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Mexico's performance. The match ended with a win for Mexico.
