Jacobo Nores didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Motta Futebol Clube. Alan Campos hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. 14 minutes into the match, Motta Futebol Clube's Dudu Hermes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jacobo Nores narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 15 minutes, Lu Ladron managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Motta Futebol Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lu Ladron was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 18 minutes into the game, Válbson de Alcântara lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Jacobo Nores. Hector Covarrubias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hector Covarrubias kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. With his leg Jacobo Nores managed to avoid a goal in the 29thth minute, when Motta Futebol Clube's Válbson de Alcântara fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Paraguay's Jacobo Nores proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Paraguay from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Motta Futebol Clube booed when Paraguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Campos didn't get a good kick on the ball. 32 minutes into the game, Válbson de Alcântara recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jacobo Nores. Válbson de Alcântara showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. Lu Ladron made in the 39th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Válbson de Alcântara however managed to control. Válbson de Alcântara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Jacobo Nores tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A hard shot 43 in the game by Válbson de Alcântara from a close distance when the talented Jacobo Nores managed to make a qualified save. Paraguay's players were relieved. After 43 played minutes Paraguay got a freekick which was hit by Hector Covarrubias. In the 45th minute, one of Paraguay:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Paraguay. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 51st minute, Artur Sabóia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match clock showed 56 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Válbson de Alcântara sped through Paraguay's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jacobo Nores. After some careless play in the Paraguay defense, Válbson de Alcântara kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jacobo Nores. The Paraguay fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jacobo Nores should have stopped the shot. Motta Futebol Clube made a substitution. Otávio Maranhense replaced Dudu Hermes. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Paraguay's goalkeeper Jacobo Nores, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A well-hit corner resulted in Xie Ao heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Jacobo Nores stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Válbson de Alcântara's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Jaime Pardo in the 79thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Aírton de Lima, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Jaime Pardo was extremely unlucky when he, in the 79th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Válbson de Alcântara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Artur Sabóia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jacobo Nores read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
