Maximiliano Escribano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Niklas Rudkvist read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Joaquin Gayoso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ragnar Vennersten's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Joaquin Gayoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ragnar Vennersten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Niklas Rudkvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ragnar Vennersten in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joaquin Gayoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ragnar Vennersten made a kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 86 minutes, Joaquin Gayoso successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 92 minutes into the game, Maximiliano Escribano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Niklas Rudkvist was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Uruguay manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Östersunds FK to win.
