Iwan Kasiewski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kajetan Dec made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Konstanty Janiczek sent off a good shot on target. Konstanty Janiczeks short, quick shot in the 21stth minute got Kajetan Dec to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Zawisza Bydgoszcz's Kajetan Dec proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Zawisza Bydgoszcz from getting a goal against them. 29 minutes had been played when some careless play by Zawisza Bydgoszcz's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Iwan Kasiewski was slow to take the kick. During this time Poland's players had a chance to rest. 33 minutes into the match, Zawisza Bydgoszcz's goalkeeper Kajetan Dec had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Konstanty Janiczek. In the 33rd minute, Lucjan Bochinski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Konstanty Janiczek got free with Kajetan Dec in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kajetan Dec stood somewhat misplaced when Konstanty Janiczek came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 36 minute. Zawisza Bydgoszcz's Kajetan Dec proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Zawisza Bydgoszcz from getting a goal against them. Poland's Herbert Grom got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Robert Naujasodis was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 66 minutes into the match. Kajetan Dec had in the 67thth minute some difficulties stopping Radomil Michnik's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 73 minutes into the match, Zawisza Bydgoszcz's goal looked a bit too open when Izydor Plucinik came free, but Kajetan Dec reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Zawisza Bydgoszcz's Orestas Ancikas got a free kick in the 74th minute. Kajetan Dec took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nike Cavia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kajetan Dec showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nike Cavia, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nike Cavia in the 82nd minute of play forced Zawisza Bydgoszcz's goalkeeper Kajetan Dec to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Poland's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
