Abraham Alguacil took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 3rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Astor Gotzon. Gashka Nebuna's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiberiu Petrin in the 5th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Astor Gotzon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoro Sarmiento in the 8th minute of play. Astor Gotzon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abraham Alguacil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 13 minutes into the match, Gashka Nebuna's goal looked a bit too open when Isidoro Sarmiento came free, but Astor Gotzon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alin Gârbovan got free with Marcos Cotilla in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 29th minute Isidoro Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Astor Gotzon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Astor Gotzon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidoro Sarmiento, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Berganza in the 44th minute of play forced Gashka Nebuna's goalkeeper Astor Gotzon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Astor Gotzon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoro Sarmiento in the 48th minute of play. Panama were awarded a corner in the 49th minute after Gashka Nebuna's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Abraham Alguacil took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Abraham Alguacil got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Astor Gotzon quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Berganza stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, Gashka Nebuna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sabin Mereacre to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Abraham Alguacil from long distance, 54 minutes into the match, got Astor Gotzon's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 56 minutes into the game, Abraham Alguacil recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Astor Gotzon. Abraham Alguacil showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Gashka Nebuna's zone, Tomas Berganza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Astor Gotzon came out of the goal and Tomas Berganza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 62nd minute, Tomas Berganza reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Astor Gotzon. The goal made the score 0-3. Alex Cambeiro charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alex Cambeiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Gashka Nebuna booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Cambeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jose Carita kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Tomas Berganza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Astor Gotzon having to interfere. Isidoro Sarmiento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 89th minute of the match, Tomas Berganza tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Astor Gotzon saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 91st minute, Alex Cambeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Miguel Miralles scored 0-4 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Astor Gotzon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Panama's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
