Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pacorro Aguilar, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 18th match minute, ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Refugio Colsa to maneuver through the defense. Pacorro Aguilar in the 23rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Julian Murillo was the one to do the kick off. After 51 minutes of play, Peru's Julian Murillo made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edwin van der Sar made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Julian Murillo sent off a good shot on target. In the 93rd match minute, ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nalo Loaisa to maneuver through the defense. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. In the 94th minute, Nalo Loaisa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match was over Peru could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦ throughout the match.
