Brown Puerto Madryn's Santiago Nataniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 33rd minute of play. Taaniel Hill sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Brown Puerto Madryn fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Santiago Nataniel should have stopped the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The audience was convinced that Joel Gaona's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Santiago Nataniel was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 67 minutes into the match, Facundo Cadaval dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Santiago Nataniel, 0-3. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Gaona was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alberto Tafalla got free with Santiago Nataniel in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mexico's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
