Laércio Quintal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Villa in the 10th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wlodzimierz Nocny got free with Lautaro Navarro in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Laércio Quintal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 14th minute of play. When the match clock showed 15 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Edmundo Espiga sped through KONOHA's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Laércio Quintal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 19th minute of play forced KONOHA's goalkeeper Laércio Quintal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Pes Doga managed to get in a good position for a shot. KONOHA's supporters rose to their feet, but Pes Doga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lautaro Navarro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 25thth minute of the game Edmundo Espiga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KONOHA's Laércio Quintal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pes Doga, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. With a little luck, Honduras's Lautaro Navarro got control of the ball when Wlodzimierz Nocny tried to sneak it across the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Korcan Akıncıbeyoğlu came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Christiano Toledo kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Edmundo Espiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laércio Quintal having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edmundo Espiga in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Laércio Quintal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The KONOHA players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Honduras were winning 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edmundo Espiga to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Suphi Demirkan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. KONOHA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Honduras the free kick. In the 56th match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmundo Espiga to maneuver through the defense. When Semi Topdemir fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KONOHA's protests and gave Semi Topdemir a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Honduras booed when KONOHA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Semi Topdemir didn't get a good kick on the ball. Laércio Quintal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sebastian Villa in the 61st minute. A collision led to KONOHA getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Wlodzimierz Nocny hit a great ball. After 65 played minutes KONOHA got a freekick which was hit by Korcan Akıncıbeyoğlu. Edmundo Espiga blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Laércio Quintal having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Honduras's Esteban Carvallo got a free kick in the 68th minute. Honduras's Edmundo Espiga got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pes Doga in the 81st minute of play. In the 84th minute, Kudret Bahçıvan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmundo Espiga in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Laércio Quintal saved KONOHA from getting behind. In the 86th match minute, KONOHA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kudret Bahçıvan to maneuver through the defense. If Edmundo Espiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 94 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Wlodzimierz Nocny came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Honduras eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
