El Salvador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Motta Futebol Clube the free kick. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Motta Futebol Clube lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
