In the 10th minute Ildefonso Arixo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 11th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Mariano to maneuver through the defense. In the 13th minute Aaron Sandalio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ildefonso Arixo in the 17th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 21 minutes into the game, Eloy Aznar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eloy Aznar in the 27th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eloy Aznar in the 29th minute of the match. Esteban José Andrada made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Esteban José Andrada didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Guansa's Eloy Aznar couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 46th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Venezuela. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. Aaron Sandalio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Esteban José Andrada breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eloy Aznar took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Eloy Aznar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. After 63 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Alex Chicote. The supporters of Guansa booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 69th minute, Mădălin Brăescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Costa in the 75th minute of play forced Guansa's goalkeeper Esteban José Andrada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Camilo Gaos hit a great ball. In the 82nd minute, Eloy Aznar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Leon Lobo sent off a good shot on target. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aaron Sandalio in the 88th minute of play. The Guansa players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
