Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ronaldinho Meira started the match with the kick off. Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Ronaldinho Meira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. Axel Tasiss short, quick shot in the 14thth minute got José Pedro Abraão to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldinho Meira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Ronaldinho Meira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benito Sanz was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. Ronaldinho Meira took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After 42 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Alexander Carballo. When Alan Moruga fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Alan Moruga a yellow card for diving instead. In the 47th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Moruga to maneuver through the defense. After the first half Morro Grande E.C were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Axel Tasis to strike the kick off in the second half. Alexander Carballo kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Jorginho Mazza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Juan Rubio kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Morro Grande E.C's Jorge Sá got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With an all-out effort, Morro Grande E.C's Benito Sanz threw himself towards the right post 75 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ronaldinho Meira, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Lautaro Puig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Axel Tasis in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg José Pedro Abraão saved Morro Grande E.C from getting behind. When Wilian de Almeida fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Morro Grande E.C's protests and gave Wilian de Almeida a yellow card for diving instead. In the 88th minute, Wilian de Almeida hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 91 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jorginho Mazza. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Tasis in the 95th minute of play forced Morro Grande E.C's goalkeeper José Pedro Abraão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Morro Grande E.C's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
