Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristian Sancho in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eliot Sinden prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 4th minute of play forced Jeonnam Dragons's goalkeeper Eliot Sinden to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eliot Sinden showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Montenegro in the 9th minute of the match. In the 10th minute, 김 어 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 24th minute 서문 홍 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Felix Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Primitivo Andino fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ecuador's protests and gave Primitivo Andino a yellow card for diving instead. After 28 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Primitivo Andino. Baltasar Ellertsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 서문 홍 in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th match minute, Jeonnam Dragons was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gurpreet Sudan to maneuver through the defense. In the 38th minute Baltasar Ellertsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 서문 홍 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Jeonnam Dragons's Eliot Sinden played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 46th minute of play. Eliot Sinden showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 48th minute of the match.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Eliot Sinden tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 63 played minutes Jeonnam Dragons got a freekick which was hit by Gurpreet Sudan. After 64 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Sancho. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 74 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. 최 야 was slow to take the kick. During this time Jeonnam Dragons's players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which Baltasar Ellertsson managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Ecuador's Primitivo Andino got his second yellow card of the match in the 87th minute. The referee ordered Primitivo Andino off the ground. Primitivo Andino kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Ecuador were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
