Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) In the 2nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 5 minutes into the match, Honduras's Moises Tafalla sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Antonis Nikopolidis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 10th minute, Moises Tafalla ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Antonis Nikopolidis was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The throw-in from Ivan Navarro in the 14th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Nea Salamis's Everardo Abreu. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ruud Nistelrooy got free with Lautaro Navarro in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Honduras's attentive Edmundo Espiga managed to snatch the ball when Wawrzyniec Puchlik made a throw-in in the 21st minute of the game. Ivan Navarro got a throw-in 23 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Sebastian Villa. After a rather tough play, Honduras's Luca Espinar got a free kick in the 25th minute. Ruud Nistelrooy's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lautaro Navarro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Everardo Abreu got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Lautaro Navarro quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After having played for 35 minutes, Pipo Inzaghi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nea Salamis's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pipo Inzaghi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 39 minutes into the game, Ruud Nistelrooy lined in a short shot 2-1 behind a frustrated Lautaro Navarro. Honduras's Valentín Carvallo quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Wawrzyniec Puchlik, made in the 41st minute of the game. After 43 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Ivan Navarro. After some careless play in the Honduras defense, Ruud Nistelrooy kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lautaro Navarro. The Honduras fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lautaro Navarro should have stopped the shot. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

When the match clock showed 53 minutes, the score became 4-1 when Ruud Nistelrooy sped through Honduras's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Lautaro Navarro. 57 minutes into the game, Nea Salamis's Pipo Inzaghi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lautaro Navarro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. Everardo Abreu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Lautaro Navarro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lautaro Navarro came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Nea Salamis's Ruud Nistelrooy. But to his dismay, Ruud Nistelrooy quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-1. Pipo Inzaghi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lautaro Navarro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. When Honduras's Edmundo Espiga in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Nea Salamis's goalie prevented a goal. 78 minutes into the match, Pipo Inzaghi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lautaro Navarro. Honduras's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pipo Inzaghi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-1. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Nea Salamis's goalkeeper Antonis Nikopolidis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Honduras's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Edmundo Espiga in the 83rd minute. A nice corner shot did that Edmundo Espiga got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Antonis Nikopolidis quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pipo Inzaghi, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. 86 minutes into the match, Ruud Nistelrooy notched a goal, 8-1, to the right of Honduras's Lautaro Navarro. Lautaro Navarro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ruud Nistelrooy in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lautaro Navarro prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
