In the 6thth minute of the game Julian Murillo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gracie Barra's Falcão Cunha was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Falcão Cunha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 8th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the match, Gracie Barra's goal looked a bit too open when Luz Tejedor came free, but Falcão Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute Luz Tejedor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Falcão Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luz Tejedor in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Falcão Cunha saved Gracie Barra from getting behind. When the match clock showed 17 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Luz Tejedor sped through Gracie Barra's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Falcão Cunha. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augusto Saldanha, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augusto Saldanha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 27 minutes into the game, Augusto Saldanha recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rolando Noboa. Augusto Saldanha showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. 30 minutes into the match, Gracie Barra's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Falcão Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Gracie Barra's Augusto Saldanha dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. Julian Murillo scored 2-2 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Falcão Cunha, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 37 minutes into the match, Gracie Barra's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Falcão Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Falcão Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 40th minute of play. Falcão Cunha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 42nd minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Augusto Saldanha was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 59th minute of play forced Gracie Barra's goalkeeper Falcão Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rubens Rezende, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Emanuel de Lara might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rolando Noboa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. In the 74th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Falcão Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 77 minutes into the match, Gracie Barra's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Falcão Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Julian Murillo got free with Falcão Cunha in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Peru booed when Gracie Barra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. 周挺勇 didn't get a good kick on the ball. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. The corner ended in Rubens Rezende almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Peru's Rolando Noboa did a great save. Falcão Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Gallo in the 91st minute of play. After 93 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Emmanuel Reyes. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael Gallo in the 95th minute of play forced Gracie Barra's goalkeeper Falcão Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Despite being the better team, Peru failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
