In the 67th match minute, Motta Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edvaldo dos Santos to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jaime Pardo got free with Válter Sousa in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
