Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Zorita in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Natasha Sjøholm prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cristian Sancho might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Natasha Sjøholm. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristian Sancho ran back to his position shaking his head. 34 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Natasha Sjøholm narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jimmy Busk got free with Julio Vera in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Griskultingarnas FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Björn Utter didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jochem Klooster to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Daniel Zorita reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Natasha Sjøholm. The goal made the score 0-1. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Natasha Sjøholm made a huge save. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jochem Klooster in the 55th minute of play. Natasha Sjøholm made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Griskultingarnas FF's Natasha Sjøholm proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Griskultingarnas FF from getting a goal against them. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Natasha Sjøholm tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 70 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Natasha Sjøholm narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 74th minute Jochem Klooster shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 75 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Natasha Sjøholm, 0-2. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jimmy Busk in the 85th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jochem Klooster in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jochem Klooster, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. 94 minutes into the match, Griskultingarnas FF's goal looked a bit too open when Agustín Saelices came free, but Natasha Sjøholm reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Griskultingarnas FF fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
