After taking down the ball on Östersunds FK's corner Greger Collin fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Joaquin Gayoso quite easily take care of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ragnar Vennersten in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joaquin Gayoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Joaquin Gayoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ragnar Vennersten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Niklas Rudkvist was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Francisco Seco showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 22 minute of play. Maximiliano Escribano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Niklas Rudkvist read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. Uruguay's Jaime Cazalla was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Niklas Rudkvist in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Ragnar Vennersten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Joaquin Gayoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 34 minutes into the game, Greger Collin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Östersunds FK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Uruguay the free kick. 34 minutes into the game, one of Östersunds FK:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ragnar Vennersten in the 38th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alberto Gisbert during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The audience was convinced that Ragnar Vennersten's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joaquin Gayoso was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claes Wall in the 41st minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joaquin Gayoso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ragnar Vennersten in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joaquin Gayoso saved Uruguay from getting behind. Niklas Rudkvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Seco in the 68th minute of the match. Ragnar Vennersten fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Gayoso having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Bruno Beldad got a free kick in the 71st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Francisco Seco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Uruguay's supporters rose to their feet, but Francisco Seco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Niklas Rudkvist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 78thth minute of the game Ragnar Vennersten who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alberto Gisbert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niklas Rudkvist having to interfere. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
