Regresado's supporters rose to their feet, but Brian Foretic was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Brian Foretic tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Miguel Herensuge sent off a good shot on target. 45 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Valentin Osorio came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Brian Foretic's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. In the 65th minute Salvador Gisbert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emilio Bazkoare saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nanak Liders struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Regresado. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nanak Liders in the 71st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nanak Liders in the 73rd minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cornelio Henric might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cornelio Henric ran back to his position shaking his head. Miguel Herensuge took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Jonathan Venegas hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brian Foretic in the 95th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Venezuela's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
