Marcus Sjöö stood somewhat misplaced when Tomas Berganza came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 16 minute. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastian Malm, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 33rd minute Sebastian Malm shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Sebastian Malm's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcos Cotilla was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. The supporters of Zlatanera booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Miralles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abraham Alguacil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The crowd rose to their feet as Sebastian Malm kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Marcos Cotilla. That made the score 1-1 in the 77 minute of play. If Tomas Berganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Zlatanera getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Jonas Lund hit a great ball. Marcus Sjöö took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abraham Alguacil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 85 minutes into the match, Abraham Alguacil had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcus Sjöö. Zlatanera's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Abraham Alguacil was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Isidoro Sarmiento might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcus Sjöö. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Isidoro Sarmiento ran back to his position shaking his head. Abraham Alguacil scored 3-1 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcus Sjöö, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Panama walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
