After 7 minutes of play, Valhalla Time's Amaury Hulsen made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joaquin Gayoso was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dalmacio Kiliz's late challenge caught a Uruguay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dalmacio Kiliz helped the player get up and apologised. If Maximiliano Escribano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 15 minutes into the game, Täpäl Asadov threw the ball into play from the sideline. Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amaury Hulsen in the 19th minute of play. Waldir Gaúcho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 24th minute. Jimeno Santo hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amaury Hulsen in the 29th minute of the match. Uruguay's Maximiliano Escribano got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aca Larroque sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Francisco Seco was the one to do the kick off. After 57 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Covarrubias. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Gisbert in the 63rd minute of play forced Valhalla Time's goalkeeper Waldir Gaúcho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Uruguay's Maximiliano Escribano got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 66th minute Maximiliano Escribano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waldir Gaúcho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 67 minutes into the game, Jimeno Santo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Valhalla Time's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Uruguay the free kick. If Francisco Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aca Larroque received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Waldir Gaúcho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Gisbert, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Täpäl Asadov made in the 76th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert. Maximiliano Escribano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Waldir Gaúcho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. Maximiliano Escribano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 80 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Sainz. Francisco Seco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Waldir Gaúcho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. A collision led to Uruguay getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Francisco Seco hit a great ball. If Best Tek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
