Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gwidon Urban in the 17th minute of play. In the 18th match minute, A State Of Trance was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teobald Walicki to maneuver through the defense. Eliseo Noboa scored 0-1 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Boruc Sedzikowski, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Gwidon Urban kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gwidon Urban got free with Benito Sanz in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to A State Of Trance getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Tobiasz Podowski hit a great ball. Boruc Sedzikowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Puig, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Boruc Sedzikowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aaron Alcocer in the 33rd minute of play. In the 38th minute, Damian Wallach hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eliseo Noboa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Boruc Sedzikowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when A State Of Trance was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aureliusz Peczkowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. 43 minutes into the game, Hugo Ferrant was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave A State Of Trance the free kick. Hugo Ferrant hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Damian Wallach stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Damian Wallach stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Damian Wallach tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Axel Tasis got a free kick in the 58th minute. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Damian Wallach ran back to his position shaking his head. Abel Carballo charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Abel Carballo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Abel Carballo hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Damian Wallach went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. In the 92ndth minute of the game Damian Wallach who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A State Of Trance's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
